ECLIPSA wins Premier Guitar’s Premier Gear award
We’re proud to announce that our Eclipsa Triple Rotary has received the prestigious Premier Gear Award from Premier Guitar!
In his in-depth review, Premier Guitar’s Charles Saufley explores Eclipsa’s authentic recreation of the legendary Yamaha RA-200 rotary speaker system, famously used by David Gilmour during Pink Floyd’s Animals era.
The review highlights Eclipsa’s realistic rotary modulation, rich and immersive sound, intuitive controls, and build quality.
As Charles Saufley puts it:
“It’s hard to avoid closing your eyes when you play the Eclipsa. For one thing, its modulations have a near-narcotic effect. But there is something very authentic in the energy of those modulations—and the picture that energy paints—that feels simultaneously physical and phantasmal, like there’s the ghost of a real-deal RA-200 in the room.”
He also praises the pedal’s expressive slow/fast transitions, versatile preamp section, and stereo capabilities.
For us at Dawner Prince, this recognition means a great deal. Eclipsa represents years of passion for vintage rotary speaker technology, countless hours of research, and our dedication to bringing the character of these extraordinary machines into a modern, pedalboard-friendly format.
A huge thank you to Charles Saufley and the entire Premier Guitar team for this wonderful review and recognition!
